Born c.1736, Charity Price died in her 40th year, exactly 3 months after the 13 colonies' Declaration of Independence. She was the wife of George Price, who fought for that independence in the Revolutionary War and survived her by 35 years. Mrs. Price's beautifully carved gravestone appears to be the work of David Jeffries, a protege of the celebrated stonecutter Ebenezer Price of Elizabeth.
