Evelyn L. Riesterer, age 92, a resident of Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center, New Holstein, died Monday evening, August 27, 2007, at the center.

She was born May 19, 1915, in Louis Corners, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Waldo and Erna (Marquardt) Graf. Evelyn was a graduate of Kiel High School, Class of 1933.

On December 30, 1936, she married John C. Riesterer in St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death September 22, 1988.

Evelyn and her sister-in-law, Mary Riesterer, were the bookkeepers for the company her husband co-founded in 1931 with Frank Riesterer and Henry Schnell, known as Cedar Creek Service Station, which later became Riesterer & Schnell, Inc. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins, and the Cedar Creek Homemakers.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law: Shirley & Floyd Marks, Brussels; Karen Doerr, Chilton; Linda & John Walter, Grafton; three sons and daughters-in-law: Delmar & Sue Riesterer, Valders; Ray & Susan Riesterer, Brussels; John & Jeanne Riesterer; Appleton; twenty-one grandchildren: Rob, Dan, Leah, Sheri, Susan, Rebecca, Trisha, Kori, Alicia, Eric, Patrick, Bethany, Dana, Brett, Waldo, Michelle, Kimberly, Kelly, Jennifer, John D., Jesse; eighteen great grandchildren; and one brother and three sisters-in-law: Ralph & Dorothy Graf, Florida; Elnora Graf, Brillion; and Kathryn Riesterer, Manitowoc. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

She was preceded in death by an infant son and two brothers: Wilmer and Frederick.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 31, 2007, at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins. Officiating at the Service will be the Rev. Robert P. Hankwitz with entombment at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.

The family will greet relatives and friends at The Christianson & Deja Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Valders, from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2007. Friends may also call Friday morning at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Collins, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
