Actor. Born John Anthony Ingolia in Queens, New York. He made his stage debut on Broadway at age seven in the Broadway musical "Greenwillow." He was then cast as Dill Harris in the 1962 film, "To Kill a Mockingbird, followed by a role in “Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte” (1964) He then appeared in several television programs such as “The Alfred Hitchcock Hour,” “Star Trek,” “Doctor Kildare,” “Ben Casey,” “I Spy” and “The Danny Thomas Hour.” Roles thinned as he grew older, he appeared in minor or uncredited parts in "The Godfather: Part II" (1974), “Go Tell the Spartans" (1978), and "The Cannonball Run" (1981). He was the founding director of L.A. Arts, a nonprofit theater group in Los Angeles, and turned to stage directing as an adult. He also taught English, Spanish and history in Los Angeles public schools. He was the half-brother of actress Connie Stevens.
