Mrs. Emily Harper Hood, in her 77th year, wife of J. W. Hood, died Sunday in her home in Clinton, PA. She was born in Findley Township, and lived there all her life. She was a member of the Clinton United Presbyterian Church. Besides her husband, she leaves a daughter, Mrs. Elmer J. McCullough: five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three sisters, Miss Elizabeth, Miss Alice, and Miss Ada Harper.

They were married in 1863 and celebrated over 50 years together.
