Mrs. Alderman was born Sept. 30, 1912 to Hugh and Grace (Rhode) Whitney in the Town of Lakeland. She moved with her parents to the Rice Lake area, where she grew up and received her education and then helped her parents operate a bar in Brill. On July 25, 1942 she married Keith Alderman in St. Charles, Va., and was a homemaker. After the war, the couple moved to Mikana, where they owned and operated a resort on Long Lake and she operated a grocery store that also housed the Mikana post office. Mrs. Alderman's husband died in October 1975, and she then retired and cared for her parents until their deaths. She was a member of the Mikana Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and enjoyed dancing.
She is survived by a close companion, Joseph Morneau of Mikana.
