Bertha Abbott, daughter of Perry Abbott, died Monday night of diphtheria and was interred in South View Cemetery Tuesday night. This is the second death in the family in the past two weeks. Bertha was a model young lady and her death is mourned by all. She had been staying at the Oliver House up to within a few days of her death and the news of her sudden death came like a thunder clap to her many friends here.
