John Whitehead served in the War of 1812.. Hannah made
application for pension on March 6, 1877, in Blount County,
Tennessee and she stated that she was 82 years of age..
John served sixty days in military service in said war ;
enlisted in Capt. Jesse Cole's company, Tennessee Militia,
Carter County, Tennessee October 1812 and was discharged in
Fish Springs, Carter County, Tennessee January 1813...
