Hettie JUNKIN Dies at 84
Mrs. Hettie B JUNKIN passed away Monday afternoon at 2:00 at the Jefferson County hospital where she ahd been seriously ill for the past three weeks. She had been in failing health since last Christmas.
Hettie BARR was born in Illinois, February 5, 1860, the daughter of John and Eliza MARKHAN BARR (sic. mother's maiden name was more likely MARKHAM). When she was a small child the family moved to Jefferson county. She was a resident of this county for the past 80 years.
She leaves two sons, Roy, route 4, Fairfield, and Charles northwest of Fairfield. Her husband Thomas M. JUNKIN, preceded her in death December 23, 1926. Three children also preceded her in death. Besides her two sons, she leaves three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 23rd at 1:30 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral Home, in charge of Rev. S.P. Williamson. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery.
