Benjamin Hobble was born on ___________ __, 1830 in ___________ Township, Lawrence County, Ohio, the son of __________ Hobble and __________ (___________) Hobble, both of whom are believed to have been born in Virginia.

In 1913, while writing for the Glasford Gazette newspaper, Col. Allen L. Fahnestock wrote for the year of 1852, "Benjamin Hobble arrived here this year in November from Pennsylvania." Benjamin Hobble may have come west to Illinois, arriving here in November of 1852, but he almost certainly came from Ohio, where he was born.
Benjamin Hobble was married on June 15, 1854 to Elizabeth (__________) McKay, who was born on October 15, 1830 in __________, __________. She is believed to have been married 1st to a __________ McKay and to have had had at least one son, ____________ McKay, a half brother of Benjamin Franklin Hobble, who is mentioned in his obit.

Benjamin Hobble and Elizabeth (__________) McKay Hobble were the parents of four children, three of whom died young;
1. Charles I. Hobble, born c. July 31, 1854; died c. February 27, 1856 at the age of 1 year, 6 months and 27 days; buried in the Kingston Mines Cemetery near Glasford, Peoria County, Illinois.

2. Henry H. Hobble, born in 1857

Benjamin Franklin Hobble, born Mar. 21, 1859 near Lancaster, Peoria County, Illinois; married to Florence Mathis (1872 - 1947) on ___________ __, 1892 at __________ County, ___________; they were the parents of four children, one, Ortha A. Hobble (1897 - 1898), dying in infancy; the other children include ___________, ___________ and __________; Benjamin and Florence are known to have resided in Canton, Illinois for sereral years; Benjamin Franklin Hobble died on Jun. 21, 1903 at Glasford, Illinois and his earthly remains were laid in the Lancaster Cemetery in Peoria County; Florence was then married to ___________ Bender; Florence (Mathis) Hobble Bender died on ___________ __, 1947 and her earthly remains were laid in the Lancaster Cemetery near Glasford, Peoria County, Illinois.

4. Emma J. Hobble, born c. Nov. 13, 1861; died c. Jul. 27, 1865 at the age of 3yr 8mo 14da and her earthly remains were laid in the Kingston Mines Cemetery near Glasford, Peoria County, Illinois.
