84 year-old Resident of County Dies Sunday Afternoon

Erastus B. Farley, 84 years old, succumbed at his home near Jumping Branch at 5:45 o'clock Sunday afternoon. His death was attributed to complications and infirmities of his advanced years.
Mr. Farley, a native of the Jumping Branch district, had resided there his entire life, and was widely known throughout that section.
Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. C.E. Walker in charge. Burial will be made in the family cemetery.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Ray Farley of Charleston and O.L. and D.C. Farley at home; six daughters, Mrs. Ada Adkins of East Beckley, Mrs. J.C. Bennett of Pear, Mrs. Alvis McLaughlin of Coal River, Mrs. Ella Thompson of Glade Creek, Mrs. Minerva Dobbins at home and Mrs. Lola Crawford of this city; and one sister, Mrs. Katherine Pack of Blue Jay.
