News of the death of Mrs. Sarah Pyburn Stovall, 87 years old, member of a prominent family in North Louisiana, Friday, at a Ruston sanitarium was received here the same day.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Trininty Methodist Church, Ruston, and interment was in Transport Cemetery, near Dodson, conducted by the Rev. Guy Hicks and the deceased's great grandson, James Stovall of Shreveport.

Mrs. Stovall was a resident of Jackson Parish all her life. She was born near Stovall and resided there until several years ago, when she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. R. L. Dickerson, near Old Vernon, in the same parish.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Dickerson, Mrs. W. T. Walker of Wyatt, Mrs A. E. Douglas of DeQuincy, and Miss Hazel Stovall of Lake Charles; two sons, W. F. Stovall of Monroe and D. M. Stovall of Shreveport; a sister, Mrs. Manda Morris of Winnfield, and 64 grandchildren and 51 great grandchildren, some of who reside in New Orleans.
