Dr. George E. Stovall, age 54, of Columbia, formerly of Sikes, died Wednesday at a Shreveport hospital and funeral services were held Thursday morning at Dodson and interment made in the Transport Cemetery. The Rev. A. C. Lawton, pastor of the Cedar Grove Methodist Church conducted the services.

Dr. Stovall, for a number of years resided at Sikes where he was a practicing physician and owned a drug store.

Dr. Stovall is survived by his widow, four children, Charles, George William, Norma Ellen, and Katherine; his mother, Mrs. G. S. Stovall, Wyatt, La.; two brothers, W. F. Stovall, West Monroe, and D. M. Stovall, Shreveport; four sisters, Mrs. R. L. Dickerson, Chatham, La., Mrs. W. T. Walker, Jonesboro, La., Mrs. A. E. Douglas, DeQuincy, La., and Miss Hazel Stovall, Lake Charles, La.
