The obituary for Frank J. Edwards stated that he had died at his home near Windsor, Jan. 2, 1939. Funeral and burial services were held at Whitfield Church. Mr. Edwards was a son of Mary and Martin Edwards, born at Bethel, Ohio, Aug. 5, 1864. He came to this vicinity as a child. He married Lizzie Reed in 1887. She had preceded him in death on June 14, 1932. Mr. Edwards is survived by the following children: Mrs. Alice Baugher, Mrs. Maud Herron and Mrs. Lucile Yunker of Windsor, Mrs. Clara McQueen, Mrs. Flora McQueen, Mrs. Lillie Bales of Decatur, Mrs. Fern Richards, Blue Island, Earl Edwards, Terre Haute, Ind., Mark and Horace Edwards at home near Windsor. Seven children preceded him in death. Also surviving were the following brothers and sisters: Lee Edwards, Milan, Mo., Tim Edwards, Bruce, Wm. Edwards, Goodland, Kansas, Joe Edwards, Windsor, Mrs. Mary Davis, Windsor, Mrs. Mat Waggoner, Ft. Dodge, Iowa. A twin brother John died in 1920. There were 28 grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. He had been a member of the Whitfield Separate Baptist Church since 1932. He was also a member of the Modern Woodman and I. O. O.
