[Rickards fiction: William Pollock Was Born in Brimfield, Massachusetts April 26 1853 He came to Nevada in 1872 and worked as a Miner and a volunteer fireman. He was killed in a mining accident were a heavy holding beam gave way striking him in the head. He was only 24 years of age, His Grave marker is a strange one as its all metal and appears to be made of bronze or copper. It has been vandalised a few times by those who think it funnt to try and "Bend" The Grave marker as it now lays back slightly. The Attached photo of Willian was courtesy of the Wild West Museum (Now sadly closed) On C Street in Virginia City. It was taken in Virginia City by the Beals Gallery some time areound 1875 its IDed on the back in old pencil "W. Pollack killed in the mines 1877 buried in Virginia City" The Photo of his grave and the cemetery we taken in 2001]
