DUNCAN - Mrs. Daisy Van Patton Bruce, 67, wife of James B. Bruce, 177 Main St., Duncan Route 2, dies 1:30 a.m. Wednesday in General Hospital after a long illness.

Daughter of the late J.H.P. and Belle Underwood Van Patton; member First Baptist Church and T.E.L. Sunday School Class.

Also surviving: sons, Frank of Inman, Joe of Duncan, Doris Rhinehart of Simpsonville Route 1; brother John T. Van Patton of Spartanburg and Melvin Van Patton of Columbia; sisters, Mrs. Stanley Atkins of Duncan, Mrs. A.B. Tollison of Greer Route 2, Mrs. James Haddon of Spartanburg, Mrs. R.L. Lister and Mrs. Elgin McElreath of Greer; five grandchildren.

Services 3 today Duncan First Baptist Church, the Revs. James Holston, J. Wayne Levan and Dr. Carl Campbell buriel in Wood Memorial Park.

Pallbearers: Maurice and Nolan Atkins, Marvin Hill, Alton Edwards, T.W. Alexander and Harold Hipp.
