CHARLOTTE - Dr. Casius S. Sackett, 87, lifelong resident of this vicinity and retired physician, died Thursday at his home at 306 East Henry after an illness of several months. He was born June 7, 1857 in Sunfield, and was a member of the local Knights Templar lodge. Surviving are his wife, Lenora; a daughter, Mrs. H.H. Burkett of Oak Park, Ill; a brother, A. C. Sackett of Sunfield; and a sister, Mrs. A. A. Stevens of Petoskey. Services will be held by the Rev. William E. Beckett from the Cheney chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday and burial will be in Maple Hill cemetery.
