Possible actual name: William Robert Walker,
but in few resources, found him under Robert.

Born in Liverpool, England.

In 1857, Anna Groves married Robert Walker in St. Louis Township, St. Louis County, Missouri.

After years of researching, I found a Robt and Anne Walker in the 1860 Federal Census living in the 8th Ward, St. Louis, MO. (his name in Index search is Robt and Robt in actual census- not Robert)

Researching to confirm possible Unit Robert served in during Civil War. (see photo)

Can't find them in the 1870 Census.

In 1880 census - living in Osage county.
It has his name spelled Rapert - because the
"A" from Anna's name in line below extends up to make it look like this spelling!
Henry Groves (age 80 yrs) living next door - Father-in-law

When/Where/How ..did he come from England,I haven't found document/ what ship?
And the same question of coming to Maries or Osage County?

Land patent obtained in Maries County on June 10, 1857 with Henry Groves buying on same day, but Robert lived in St. Louis..what year did he move?

Only other information found is this entry in Ancestry.com:
source is from Groves files - Anna's sister passed down:
"We come from St. Louis in the year 1857 to the borders of Osage and Maries Co. owning land on both sides of the line, which is in the thirty-eighth degree of latitude and agrees to year of my birth. My parents and four
of their children settled in Osage County, close to the line and John and his wife, in Maries county: my two oldest sisters had married and stayed in St. Louis, Anna as stated above, and Mary to a Scotchman named James Thomson. Brother Charles stayed with them."

On Robert's Son, William death certificate - it gives info as his father's name - William R. - only place ever noted where Robert was not his first name.

Note:
Maries County was organized March 2, 1855. On the north is Osage County; on the west Miller; on the south, Pulaski; on the south and east, Phelps; on the east, Gasconade.

Robert and Anna (Annie/Anne/Anney) had 4 children:

Emma Jane - b. 1857 - St. Louis, MO
William - b. 1859 - ? Osage county, MO
Charlotte Elizabeth - b. 1864 - near Freeburg,MO
Charles Edward - b. 1865 - one source states Freeburg, Mo
death certificate gives Rich Fountain, MO.
