It has his name spelled Rapert - because the
"A" from Anna's name in line below extends up to make it look like this spelling!

Not sure where I got this copy of excerpt written by her - did not keep source - but found on ancestry.com many years ago:
"We come from St. Louis in the year 1857 to the borders of Osage and Maries Co. owning land on both sides of the line, which is in the thirty-eighth degree of latitude and agrees to year of my birth. My parents and four of their children settled in Osage County, close to the line and John and his wife, in Maries county: my two oldest sisters had married and stayed in St. Louis, Anna as stated above, and Mary to a Scotchman named James Thomson: Brother Charles stayed with them."

Anna's oldest brother, John William Groves, came to America on ship, by himself, from Liverpool, age 25, occupation: "Joiner" prior to the rest of the family in Feb 1851. This explains why he is not on the English census in March 1851 with the rest of the family (they sailed in Nov).

Anna's sister - Elizabeth Groves McCracken:
Find A Grave Memorial# 61483062 is listed as McCrackin because informant for info on Elizabeth's death certificate spelled it that way.
Informant was Charles Walker - (Ann's son - Elizabeth's nephew)

Noted Anney's marker has little doves on bottom of marker, as does her little girl Emma Jane's marker. Later noted flowers had been placed at my Uncle Eugene's grave that had little doves in boquet.
