"MRS. MARTHA BEESON DIES

Mother of Gen. Byron A. Beeson Succumbs, Aged 95.

MARSHALLTOWN, Ia., Jan. 15.-
Special: Death yesterday claimed one of the pioneers of this county, Mrs. Martha Smith Beeson, aged 95, mother of Gen. Byron A. Beeson of Des Moines, until recently adjutant of the Iowa Soldiers' home.

Mrs. Beeson's death was due to grip, and followed an illness of two weeks. She had been a resident of this county over sixty years, coming here in June, 1855. Mrs. Beeson had sixty-four living descendants. They included 6 children, 29 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren, her family being one of the very few in this county represented by five generations."
