Parents: James B. Powers & Paulina Weed McKay Powers (buried Rock Grove Cemetery)
Spouses: #1 Joseph Clark (1810-1888) Buried Rock Grove Cemetery.
#2 William Thomson (1846-1897) buried Rock Grove Cemetery.

Elma supposedly married a third time, but no information is available on this husband except that they married in Charles City, lived for a time in St. Paul, Minn. and he died in Minn.
Elma is buried on the site between her first and second husbands, but her birth and death dates are inscribed on the tombstone of William Thomson. She married Joseph Clark in 1866 and William Thomson in 1888. Joseph was considerably older than Elma at their marriage so he may have a first wife and family but no records exist within the family.
