         C. C. Brooks, 78, Rites Thursday

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday for Christopher C. Brooks, 78, of Green Sulphur Springs formerly of Wyoming County, who died at his home at noon Tuesday.

Rites will be held in the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with the Rev. B. L. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

He was born Feb. 16, 1875, in Wyoming County, the son of the late Frank and Ettie Farmer Brooks. He was a farmer and a member of the Pine Grove Church, in Wyoming County, where he had lived until about three years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Carrie Brooks, four sons, Harlen and Clarence of Green Sulphur Springs; John, of Kopperston; and Raymond, of Crab Orchard; five brothers, Clayton, of Glen Rogers; James and Dee, of Glen Fork; Kemper, Windon, and Thurman, of Virginia; a sister, Mrs. Ollie Rhodes, of Amigo; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The body will remain at the Calfee Funeral Home until the hour of the funeral.

Pallbearers will be: Kyle Davis, Carson Huffman, Scott Tolbert, Herbert Chambers, Ross Curtis, and H. J. Clay.
