Obituary, The Columbia Daily Tribune, May 20, 1997:

Donald Martin, 66, of Columbia died Friday, May 9, 1997, in Columbia.

Services were held Wednesday, May 14, at the Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Milnor, N.D., with the Rev. M.L. Hartmann officiating. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.

Mr. Martin was born July 7, 1930, at Wahpeton, N.D., to Jesse and Dora Durgan Martin.

He married Mabel Rodlund on Sept. 20, 1948, at Milnor and she survives.

He spent most of his life in North Dakota, working as a farmer and working for the Melroe Company, Kavli Trucking, Big Dipper Enterprises and Kost Brothers. He retired in 1988 and moved to Austin, Texas. He moved to Columbia in 1995.

Other survivors include four sons, Richard Martin of West Fargo, N.D., Ronnie
Martin of Bottineau, N.D., Randy Martin of Jamestown, N.D. and Brian Martin of
Duluth, Minn.; two daughters, Debbie Lund of Columbia and Donna Johnson of Rolette, N.D.; five brothers, James Martin of Staples, Minn., Jesse Martin of Portland, Ore., Henry Martin of DeLamere, N.D., Delbert Martin of Fergus
Falls, Minn., and Monty Martin of Sabin, Minn.; a sister, Rose Marie Gregor of
DeLamere, N.D.; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
