Alpha Alonzo Cahoon, age 69, died in Chico, California on November 25 1942. Mr. Cahoon had gone there for an operation and had been in California for a short time at his death. Mr. Cahoon was born in Cotton wood, Utah on December 25,1873, and his family moved to Deseret , Utah shortly after his birth. He married Hannah Kinder and to them five children were born, all of whom are still living. Mr. and Mrs. Cahoon moved to Delta, Utah about six years ago and have made their home here since. He is survived by his widow and the following children: Cecil Cahoon (Eva) of Oasis, Clayson K Cahoon (Hazel) of Delta, Clinton K Cahoon (Mazel) and Hazel Cahoon (Derald) Clawson of Chico, California, And Alta Nielson (John) of Richfield, Utah. He is also survived by four brothers: Arson, Charles and Daniel of Deseret and Tyron Cahoon of Benjamin, Utah. He had 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the Delta First Ward church on Saturday and burial was in the Delta City Cemetery. Bishop A. O. Gardner opened the services. Trio "One Fleeting Hour" by Norma Hannifin, Thelma Black and Deonna Black accompanied by Mrs. Norma Wright . Prayer by Ray Bishop. Xylophone solo "Oh My Father" by Ruth Cahoon Talk by C. Gronning. Trumpet solo "The Holy City" by Garff Cahoon, Talk by Alex Adams, remarks by Bishop Gardner and a duet "Somewhere a Voice is Calling" by Mr. and Mrs. Jerald Bennett of Deseret. Prayer by J. R. Bennett.
