She was joined in Holy Matrimony to Reverend Leroy W. Allen, Sr. in May of 1953. To this union four children were born.
She was a member of the Oak Grove Presbyterian Church in Prosperity, South Carolina. She served on the Usher Board and was a member of the Oak Grove Burial Aid Society.

On July 21, 1992, our beloved wife and mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Allen slipped away into eternal rest.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted husband, Reverend Leroy W. Allen, Sr; one daughter, Lithornia Allen Best, Martinez, Ga.; three sons, James Willie Wise, Thurmond Wise and Tony Eugene Allen, all of Augusta, Ga.; one stepson, Leroy Allen, Jr. of Manhattan, NY,; two sisters, Lillie Mae Rikard of Brooklyn, NY and Josephine Carter of Columbia, SC; one sister-in-law, Jestine Rikard of Columbia, SC; one son-in-law, Craig B. Best, Sr.; one daughter-in-law, Hattie Wise; seve grandchildren, one niece, a host of hephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
