Edward Houchins, brother of Chas. T. Houchins, of this city, died this morning, at eight o'clock at his home, near Talcott, of pneumonia, after an illness of only a couple of days. He was taken ill on Monday morning and was not considered very sick until Tuesday, when he was much worse and grew worse rapidly, until the hour mentioned, when he passed away.
Mr. Houchins was 47 years of age, and was born near Greenville, Monroe county. He leaves a wife and four children, in addition to a number of other relatives and friends, who will learn of his death with much surprise and regret.
The remains will be buried near Greenville, Thursday or Friday.
