John was killed by guerrilla forces on June 14, 1864 in Melville, MO.
He and Nancy had two sons, William Taylor, born 20, Dec., 1860 in Polk County, MO. Died 10 Feb., 1955 in Colorado, buried in Plainview Memorial Park, Plainview Texas.
Son James Orlando, born 14, Jan., 1863 in Polk County MO, died 13 March, 1880 in Polk County, buried in the Taylor/Milliken Cemetery, Polk County.
