MISS MARY M.KEMMER
SEPTEMBER 18, 1896
On Tuesday, September 15, at eleven a.m., at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Kemmer, living south of town, occurred the death of their eldest daughter, Mary M., after an illness with typhoid fever. Less than a year ago Mr. and Mrs. Kemmer's family was entered by the same agent of destruction and their second daughter succumbed to its ravaging effects, which makes their present affliction the more sad and sorrowful.
Mary M. Kemmer was born January 17, 1880, and had spent her short life in this immediate vicinity. Having not been robust for some time her constitution was unable to withstand the effects of disease for any length of time. She leaves to mourn her early death her parents, three sisters, four brothers and many other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held from SS. Peter and Paul's church on Thursday morning and the remains laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery. Many sympathizing friends attended the last rites. Owing to Illness, Mrs. Kemmer, mother of deceased, was unable to attend the funeral.
