THE PARIS NEWS, Sunday, July 22, 2001: 'Abner Glover, Sr., 90, of Paris died Thursday, July 19, 2001 at Christus St. Joseph's Hospital. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, July 23 at the Hospitality Church of God in Christ. Burial will follow at Restlawn Garden Cemetery with Elder Benjamin Nickerson officiating. Maxey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Glover was born Oct. 24, 1910 the son of Manuel and Mollie (Patterson) Glover in Petty. He was married to his wife Elnora Glover for 69 years. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Rev. Cotis Glover and wife Betty of Paris, Abner Glover Jr. of Paris, and John Walter Glover of Dallas; three daughters, Everlene Wallace of Paris, Evelyn Taylor and husband Rev. R. L. Taylor of Fort Worth, and Mollie Dibbles of Dallas.'
