Mildred was the daughter of Hillard Little and Georgia Ella King. She was educated in the Twiggs County School System. She joined Tarversville Baptist Church in Tarversville, Georgia as a youth. She later joined New Bethel Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia.

Services were held Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2PM in the Chapel of Bentley & Sons Funeral Home in Macon, Georgia.
