DYER, Recie E. Sigmon, 94, of Roanoke, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2002. Recie was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Dyer, parents, Edward T. and Martha F. Sigmon, infant daughter Linda Jane, daughter Brenda Lane, grandson David Farmer, and a sister, Bertha Morehouse. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Bill Farmer, Vinton; son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Sandy Dyer, Lithia Springs, Ga.; grandchildren, Debbie and husband Timmy Holdren of Bedford, Tonya Meadows, Powder Springs, Ga., Audra Dyer of Cummings, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Megan, Kallie, Brianna and Natalie Holdren of Bedford, Lauran Meadows, Powder Springs, Ga.; sisters, Helen and husband, Louie Mauthe of Lakeland, Fla., Dorothy Buckner of Canton, Ohio, Mozelle Robertson of Rocky Mount; a brother, Roy Sigmon of Canton, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends; and a devoted friend, Brenda Hodges. She was a former American Viscose Corporation employee for many years and a lifelong member of Garden City Baptist Church. A devoted Christian wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she dedicated her life to doing for others and making other people happy.
