He was past president of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce, past vice-president of the McAllen Performing Arts, Chairman of McAllen Easter Seal Telethon, past president of McAllen Citizens League, McAllen Rotary Club, McAllen "Man of the Year" recipient, McAllen and Houston Lions Clubs. Mr. Nutt was a member of First United Methodist Church of Temple. He was vice-president of Wyatt's Cafeteria in Dallas.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Nutt, of Bryan; a son Kenneth (Corrisa) Nutt of Houston; three daughters Kathryn Anderson of Houston, Kelli (Tom) Davis of College Station, Kimberly (Clyde) Cross of Dallas; two brothers, Harlan Nutt and Billy Nutt both of Marlin; twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service in celebration of his life was held Saturday, April 17, at the First United Methodist Church in Marlin with Rev. Jerry House and Gary Nutt officiating. At the request of the family, memorials may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or the American Arthritis Foundation.

Gravesite Details
A memorial marker was placed at the feet of his parents. Kenneth's remains were donated to science.
A marker is also place with his wife, Betty, in Bryan, Texas.
