Mrs. Amstutz was born June 4, 1906, on her family's farm in Gresham and was a lifelong Gresham resident. Her maiden name was Brunner. She graduated in 1924 from Gresham High School and attended Behnke-Walker Business College, then was an executive secretary for Equitable Savings & Loan until the mid-1930s. She had been a volunteer for Shriners Hospital for Children. In 1934, she married Elam; he died in 1965.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Colebank of Roseburg; son David of Spotsylvania, Va.; and three grandchildren.
Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Gresham. The family suggests remembrances to Shriners Hospital for Children or a favorite charity.
