Sallie Paul-Beeler-Gifford, 87, Kokomo, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2010 at 5:55 PM. She was born in Luttrell, TN at 2:00 PM on June 13, 1923 to Jacob L. and Minnie Jane (Shieflit) Paul who preceded her in death. On June 25, 1938, Sallie married Vernon Clifford Beeler, and he preceded her in death in 1972. She later married Penecost P.F. Gifford in 1976 and he also preceded her in death in 1995. Sallie attended the Bethel Tabernacle Church in Kokomo. She retired from the Stellight Corperatioin after 30 years of service. She enjoyed weaving baskets, and weaved many baskets for her family. Sallie's greatest joy was spending time at her home, cooking and enjoying the company of her family.

Sallie is survived by a son; Bill (Pattie) Beeler of Kokomo, a daughter; Patricia Crume of Knoxville, TN, a step-daughter; Cindy (Steve) Keene of Kokomo, daughter-in-laws; Judy Beeler and Teresa Gifford, eleven grandchildren; Russell (Lisa) Crume of Knoxville, TN, Lori (Mike) Christopher of Kokomo, Michael (Kena) Crume of Moorsville, NC, Gina (Charles) Amos of Muncie, IN, Jeffery (Jami) Beeler of Kokomo, Brian (Beth) Beeler of Winnetka, IL, Leah (Brian) Tate of Noblesville, IN, Jenny Gifford of Indianapolis, IN, Julie (Paul) Brewer of Kokomo, Christopher Keene and Amanda Keen both of Indianapolis, IN, 19 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Sallie was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a son; Dallas Beeler, step-son; Mark Gifford, a grandson; Billy Beeler, a son-in-law; James Crume, one sister, and six brothers.

There will be a visitation for Sallie on Friday, December 3, from 4 to 8 PM at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 South Webster Street, Kokomo, IN. Sallie's funeral will be on Saturday, December 4, at 10:00 AM also at the mortuary. Sallie will be entombed at Sunset Memory Gardens Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
