Charles F J Braun, 54, of 2604 Oliver street died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Lutheran hospital where he had been a patient for a week. Born in Madison township, Mr Braun had live the greater part of his life in Fort Wayne. He was an employee of the General Electric company and a member of the GE Quarter-Century club. Mr Braun was a member of the Zion Lutheran church. Mr Braun was the Journal-gazette's only adult carrier. For the past 12 years, he had carried a route in the southeast section of the city and was well known to many residents in that district. Surviving are his wife, Susan; five sons, Elmer, Melvin Wilbert, Walter and Richard, all of Fort Wayne, three daughters, Mrs Ralph Weikart, Mrs Franklin Murphy and Miss Orlida Braun all of the city; four brothers, Fred, John, George and Anthony Braun; a half-brother, Louis; a sister Mrs Otto Osterhaus and five grandchildren. The body was taken to the Rodenbeck-Trier funeral home and will be returned to the residence where it may be viewed after 3 o'clock Friday afternoon. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the home and at 2 o'clock at the Zion Lutheran church, Rev Paul Dannenfeldt officiating.
