Aunt Ramona was born Aug 4, 1892, to Lawrence Thomas Mulligan and the former Rachel Frances Trail at Highland Lake, Weld County, Colorado.

Ramona was the 5th of 7 children:

Edward J 1881 –
George William 1883 – 1938 - MY GRANDPA
Leo Joseph 1887 – 1958
Genevieve 1890 – 1981
Ramona 1892 – 1984
Eunice 1895 –
Anthony Virgil 1898 – 1968

Ramona was married to John P. Holmes.

Ramona was a Music Teacher, in the public school system. She was quite a good musician. I remember as a child, my Mother would take me to Aunt Ramona's house for piano lessons. She usually didn't teach out of her home but being family, she made an exception.

After her father died, Ramona took wonderful care of her mother (my Gr-Grandmother) until her death.

Every year Aunt Ramona and Uncle John hosted our Mulligan family reunions, at their estate in Fullerton. They were quite an affair, with tons of children and adults. These family reunions were something to look forward to all year long. Family came from all over California and Colorado. Ramona made them very special events.

Eventually age took it's toll and the family reunions had to be moved to other relative's homes. They were good but none were ever again as wonderful as going to Aunt Ramona's house.

One week before her 92nd birthday, Ramona passed away July 31, 1984 at Fullerton, Orange County, California.

Ramona was my dearly loved paternal Great-Aunt.
