The body of Pfc. John Farkas, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Vasile Farkas, Rt. 5, Warren, who was killed in action May 5, 1945in Czechoslovakia while serving with the 90 Division of the Third Army, will arrive in Warren Wednesday morning.
Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday at the Romanian Orthodox Church. Rev. Martin Postelnic will officiate and burial will be at Crown Hill. Friends may call at the Gillen Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Born in Warren, Feb. 5, 1926, the son of Vasile and Helen Farkas, he was employed by Packard Electric Co. before entering the service.
He was a member of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
Besides his parents He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. August Sanu, Warren, and Miss Anna Farkas at home; and two brothers Vasile Jr., Warren, and Thomas at home.
