Aaron Magnuson, 80 years of age, former Shafer farmer, died at the home of Martin L. Larson, north of Center City Tuesday morning following an illness of several years duration. General infirmities of advanced age was given as the cause of his demise.

Funeral services will be held from the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 following which interment will be made at Franconia. Officiating will be Dr. Axel Nelson. Pallbearers will be Swen Johnson, Malcom Alexander, H. W. Lindgren, Arthur Broberg, Victor Pearson, and Russel Carlson.

The deceased was born November 15, 1858 in Smaland, Sweden and came to America in the year 1892 settling first at Taylors Falls. He joined the Lutheran congregation there and was a member of that church until 1931 when he joined the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church of Center City. He was married in Sweden on November 19, 1881 to Helena Hansdotter. His wife passed away January 26, 1902.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Martin L. Larson of Center City and one son, Charles Magnuson of Minneapolis. One daughter, Ida Mathilda Christine died in February 1900.
