Miss Ella Jurgens, 81, died at the Clearwater Memorial Hospital in Bagley on Friday, February 27. Miss Jurgens was born August 24, 1894 in Montevideo to parents Laurits and Petra Jurgens. The family moved to the Leonard area in 1898 and for a number of years Miss Jurgens worked in California and out west. She also worked in Wisconsin and the past ten years she had spent in the Leonard area.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Frances Kress of Sparkes, Nevada; two brothers, John Jurgens of Solvang, California, and Fred Jurgens of Leonard. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in by her parents, one sister and four brothers.
Funeral services wer ehekd Monday, March 1, at the Cease Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Richard Larson officiated with burial in the Bagley City cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
