William Dorn, one of the pioneer residents of North Mahoning Township, Indiana County, died at his home in Marchand last evening of kidney trouble at the age of 82 years, six months and 11 days. The deceased was born in Germany a son of Frantz and Margaret Dorn and came to this country in 1858, settling in New Jersey. From there he came to his late home near Marchand, went to farming and engaged in the lumber business for a short time. In 1866 he was united in marriage to Miss Eve Rader. He is survived by his widow and the following children: John W. Dorn, residence unknown; George W., Henry (Harry?), Wilbur and Jane Dorn, at home; Dora of Greely, Colorado; and Mrs. N. E. McGee of Punxsutawney. One brother, George Dorn, of Pittsburgh also survives. Interment will be in the Marchand cemetery. Source: Punxsutawney Historical and Genealogical Society obituary files
