SAYREVILLE – LUCILLE ANAYA KLOC died Thursday, November 25, 2010 at home. She was 83.

Born in Pueblo, CO, she moved to Old Bridge at the age of 18 with a friend. There, she met and married Joseph and stayed in Old Bridge for 64 years.

A homemaker, she returned to school in 1977 to Middlesex Community College.

Upon her husband's retirement, the two traveled the United States, eventually visiting every state, including Alaska and Hawaii.

She became a volunteer in the Interfaith Network of Care at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge and eventually became involved in writing stories for their news letter.

She was also a member of the East Brunswick Art Guild for many years and enjoyed painting until her illness became too overwhelming.

During her chemo treatments, she began and finished a mural on the wall of her bedroom.

She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 60 years, Joseph Kloc in 2006.

Surviving are 2 sons: Thomas Kloc and his wife Leah of E. Brunswick and Joseph Kloc and his wife Carey of Monroe Twp.; a daughter Jeanne Abrams and her husband Steven of Old Bridge; 8 grandchildren: David and Danielle Abrams, Ashley, Andrew, Benjamin and Jonathan Kloc, Stephen Wondoloski and Jason Weinstein; 7 great-grandchildren: Ava and Alexa Kloc, Samantha Wondoloski, Mason & Joey Kloc, and Joshua and Abbey Weinstein; all of her friends at the Interfaith Network of Care, Mermaid Cove Marina, and her Old Bridge neighbors who she knew for 64 years.

Friends may call at the BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick on Sunday from 2:30-4:30 PM, where a funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Interfaith Network, 62 South Main Street,
Milltown, NJ 08850-1818 or the American Cancer Society, 2600 US Highway 1, North Brunswick, NJ 08902.
