John M. Majek, age 95, passed away on December 8, 2010 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Mr. Majek was born and raised in Cameron, Texas on June 10, 1915.

Mr. Majek was a supervisor for W.W. Hocker and Pels & Dubous Home Builders, he specialized in woodwork and cabinetry.

John played in the Majek Orchestra for 88 years.

Mr. Majek is preceded in death by his wife, Vlasta, daughter Barbara Crout and Parents, Leo Sr. & Rosie Majek, brothers Julius, Frank, Charlie, Joe, one sister Mary Roschetzky and one grandson Jerry Wayne Majek.

He is survived by three sons & spouses; one daughter & spouse; 14 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchild & a brother & spouse.

A special thanks to two close friends who brought communion to him every Sunday.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2010 at Seaside Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening at the Seaside Chapel.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at S Cyril & Methodist Church. With interment in Seaside Memorial Park.
