Frank W. Butzin, 85, 1127 Sherman St. a life long resident of
Leavenworth and a cabinetmaker, died Friday. He had been in failing
health several years.
He was born in Leavenworth on Sept. 12, 1886, the son of Frederick
and Amelia Holtzheater Butzin. He attended local schools.
He was married to Sara Pratt in Leavenworth in 1920. Mrs. Butzin
died in 1944. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist
and Hirram Ladge, No 68. AF&A.M.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Rogers, Columbus Ga.: and
Mrs. Elsie Reeves, Alexandria, La.: two sons, Fred H. Butzin, of the
home, and Carl Butzin, Shreveport, La; a brother William Butzin, 322
Garland: 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tursday at the Sexton Funeral
Chaperl. Burial will be in Mt. Muncie Cemetery. The body will be at
the chapel this evening.
The family suggests memorials to Cushing Memorial Hospital.
