Augusta, Ontario abt. 1812, d. there abt. 1846, son of Reuben Landon and Sarah Ann Phillips, grandson of Samuel Landon, UE and Ziba Phillips, UE, and great-grandson of Daniel Burritt, UE. Samuel was also a descendant of William Bassett, a Leiden Pilgrim who arrived in Plymouth Colony in 1621 and of Francis Sprague, who arrived in Plymouth Colony in 1623. Samuel was a merchant and later a schoolteacher. They had Maria (b. 1835), Reuben (b. 1838) and Samuel (b. 1847).

Elizabeth married James Anthony Newell and lived in Toronto. Catherine married Malcolm Howard Bissell and lived in Brockville.
