Hayestown is the old part of the Tiffany Cemetery.

Moses was married and lived in Cattaraugus County, NY, in 1832 when his son, Ansel, was born. Moses was born in Hartford, Conn., in 1787 and was a mechanic by occupation. He came to Wisconsin about the time of President Taylor's administration, the fall of his election, and first settled in Jefferson County, where he lived until 1869, when he removed to the Chippewa Valley and located in Tiffany township, Dunn County, where he resided until his death in 1873.

Moses' wife, Mary (Hemenway) Hays was born in Erie County, Pa., in 1802, and was ninety years of age February 18, 1892.

Moses and Mary had eleven children.

Moses was the father of Ansel Hayes, the third child, also buried in Tiffany Cemetery. Ansel was the father of Caroline Burgert, who is also buried in Tiffany Cemetery. She was married to David Burgert.
