Pembroke - Floyd DeLoach, 80, died Feb. 17 at his home in Groveland, GA. The Bryan County native was of Primitive Baptist faith. He was a disabled Veteran of WWII where he served as S/Sgt. in Co. L, 8th Infantry. He was an infantry, machine-gunner and received the Purple Heart, in addition to several other campaign medals. He was a graduate of Army Bakers' and Cook's School and held a first cook's diploma. He was a member of the VFW and Disabled Veterans Association.

Survivors: wife of 49 years, Dorothy B. DeLoach of Pembroke; daughters and sons-in-law, Lynne and Deron Kicklighter, Denise and Junior Tucker, Ann and Terry Griffin and Nan and Randy Waters, all of Claxton; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at J. Mellis NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial: Groveland Cemetery, Pembroke with Rev. David Hagan and Rev. Ernest Gordy officiating. J. Mellis Nesmith Funeral Home
