He passed away in 1945. Mrs. Houvener has made her home in Cambridge, Ohio for the past five years. She was a member of the First Methodist Church, in Saginaw. Surviving are six sons, Irving S. and Henry C. Houvener both of Midland; James L. Houvener, toledo, Ohio, Richard H. Houvener, Detroit; Russell W. Houvener, Kenmore, N.Y.; Jack Houvener, at home; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; also two brothers and three sisters, Archie, and Rebecca Smith, both of Grand Rapids; Webb Smith, New York, N.Y. Mrs. Frank Harrison, Bad Axe; Mrs Herbert Scott, Royal Oak. Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Case Chapel. Dr. Don Morris will officiate, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel after Tuesday noon.
