Clolene Yates, 82, of Kennett, passed away August 2, 2015 in Kennett. Born October 14, 1932, in Kennett, she was the daughter of the late Elize Cook, Sr. and Gladys Wells Cook, and was a life long area resident.

Clolene was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend to many. She shared many kind words and compliments with a smile that would brighten not only the room, but your entire day. She enjoyed reading her books, having her morning coffee, planting, growing and admiring her flowers and most of all being surrounded by the people she loved the most, who deeply loved her.

she is survived by one son, Gerald Don Moore, one sisster, Bonnie Sue Newman; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, grat-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews, all of whom brought great joy to her throughout her life.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Yates, four brothers, Eliza Cook, Jr. ,Billy Joe Cook, Jackie Cook, and Jerry Don Cook; and one sister, Dorothy Risner.

Memorial services will be conducted Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with Mr. Nolan glover officiating.

Faith Funeral Service of Manila are in charge of arrangements.
