Ann Shollenbarger, 51, a resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, October 3, 2000 after a long fight with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Bob Scholz of ten years; son, Matt Scholz; sisters, Donna Stevens and husband, Ara of Jemez Springs; Chere Riegger and husband, Mike of Corrales; Rene Shollenbarger and nephew, Wes Edling, both of Albuquerque; brother, Bob Scott and wife, Ann of Albuquerque; and good friend, Pat Hamilton of Albuquerque. She was a native of New Mexico, born and raised in Springer as the eldest daughter of Ben and Martha Jean Shollenbarger. Ann was Presidents of Shollenbarger Wood Treating, Materials Inc. and Groff Lumber Co. She enjoyed painting, pottery, and animals, especially her cat Misty. She loved to play golf and travel with her husband, Bob. Cremation has taken place and a reception will be held at the family home, 8649 Rio Grande NW, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., on Friday, October 6, 2000.
