Ruby Schaut Bigger, 84, of Sheffield, died Wednesday on her birthday, Feb. 18, 2004. Visitation will be Friday from noon until 1 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. The Rev. Eric Brown will officiate, and entombment will be in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Bigger was a native of Lauderdale County and a member of First United Methodist Church of Muscle Shoals. She was a cosmetologist for more than 50 years.Survivors include her daughter, Carole S. Hayes, of Muscle Shoals; and sister, Willodean Richardson, of Tuscumbia; grandchildren, Doug Smith and wife, Melinda, Traci Smith Thornton and husband, Dale; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Seth Thornton.Pallbearers are Joe Morrison, Ronnie May, Marcel Isbell, Ed Smith, Robert Morgan and Clarence Wiseman.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Muscle Shoals, Ala.Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
