John Apaceller, 79 of Oswego, IL, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Friday, March 22, 2002 at Rush Copley Medical Center. He was born October 31, 1922 in Kurd, Hungary.
Mr. Apaceller married Theresa (Fricker) on November 6, 1948 in Germany. They came to The United States in 1956 and have been residents of Oswego since 1978. He was employed by All Steel as a Repairman for 28 years until his retirement in 1985.
Mr. Apaceller was a member of St. Anne Church in Oswego, IL and a member of S.A.S. (St. Anne Seniors). He was also a member of the German-American Club.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years, Theresa Apaceller, one daughter, Monica (Wayne) Maller of Oswego, IL; one granddaughter, Diane (Bryant) Szudarski of Oswego, IL; one grandson, Eric Maller of Oswego, IL; one brother, Sebastian (Barbara) Apaceller of Aurora, IL; two cousins in Germany; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna (Herbst) Apaceller.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 26, 2002 from 9:30 AM at THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY to St. Anne Church at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday, March 25, 2002 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at THE DALEIDEN LAKE STREET MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora, IL 60506, 630-898-8634.
